Alison Lichy, PT, DPT, NCS is the owner and a practicing physical therapist at NeuroPT. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Neurological Physical Therapy. Currently, Dr. Lichy is a research investigator for the National Capital Spinal Cord Injury Model System, the Rehabilitation Research Training Center, and the Assistive Technology Research Center, at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Her research has been presented at national conferences and is published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Lichy consults nationally on the treatment of neurological disorders and is a spokesperson for the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also the current chapter president for the District of Columbia American Physical Therapy Association.
Elissa Federovich, PT, NCS is a practicing physical therapist at NeuroPT and adjunct faculty at Marymount University. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Neurological Physical Therapy. Elissa received her Bachelor’s in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park in 1994 and her Master of Science in PT from Marymount University in 1999. Her previous experience includes inpatient rehabilitation at the National Rehab Hospital beginning in 1999 treating Spinal cord injury, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Vestibular rehab, Cardiac, Amputee, Total Joint Replacements, and Multitrauma. Elissa’s areas of expertise are Neurological impairments, seating and mobility, and orthosis prescription and fabrication.
Rahsaan J. Holley, MS, OTR/L has over 10 years experience working as an Occupational Therapist. Most of his work has been primarily in the acute rehabilitation and home health settings. Rahsaan has extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals limited by neurological conditions (i.e. Stroke; Traumatic Brain Injury; Cerebral Palsy; and Spinal Cord). He originally hails from New York City where he received his graduate training in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. Upon graduating he spent two (2) years working as an Occupational Therapist in a neuropsychological setting. In 2002 he moved to Washington, DC and accepted the role as Staff Occupational Therapist at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). Mr. Holley continues his professional growth at NRH where he currently assumes the role of Research Occupational Therapist. He currently serves as research project leader for a multi-center randomized controlled clinical trial investigating salient elements of arm rehabilitation following stroke. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating the clinical & research portions of the NRH Arm Amputee Program.
